KBR is seeking qualified TVAC Engineers to join our OMES III contract supporting environmental testing operations at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s Integration & Test (I&T) complex in Greenbelt, MD. These employees will play a key role in performing complex operations related to space simulation testing for both flight and ground support hardware.
Summary of Work
- Provide guidance on space simulation testing services for space flight and ground support hardware, utilizing 10 thermal vacuum chambers, 2 temperature and humidity chambers, and related support equipment.
- Directs or Performs testing services, thermal vacuum tests
- Conduct space simulation testing
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Demonstrated training and proficiency in space simulation testing.
- Experience with chamber, facility, and test equipment operations.
- Ability to generate operating procedures and equipment operating manuals.
- Knowledge of vacuum-compatible materials and processes for fabricating ground support equipment for spaceflight hardware.

Basic Compensation:
- Jobs on this contract range from $94,000- $172,200. Pay range is specific to the Greenbelt, MD area.
- The offered rate will be based on the position, contract affordability, the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
- KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
