Resort Training Manager
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Training Manager. In this role, you'll train and track associates' development to help them reach their full professional potential. You'll be responsible for communication with associates and leadership to help reinforce, evaluate, and improve the training process. Additionally, you'll assist with organizational aspects of training, events, and Human Resources.
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll directly contribute to a more positive workplace culture and guest experience by strengthening communication, development, and engagement across the resort, ensuring team members are trained and equipped to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
This is an hourly role at $22/hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with associates and leadership to reinforce, evaluate, and continuously improve training programs and processes.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of training initiatives, employee events, and HR-related activities.
- Track training progress and maintain accurate records to support associate development and compliance needs.
- Support onboarding efforts to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into resort standards and culture.
- Facilitate and assist with training sessions and workshops to enhance associate knowledge and performance.
- Promote and model Kalahari's promise to Lead With Love in all interactions with associates and leadership.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in training and engagement processes and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to align training efforts with operational needs and service standards.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in learning and development and/or retention.
- Have a broad understanding of the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort.
- Ability to establish rapport with associates and leaders.
- Ability to manage own time and take initiative on projects and duties.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude with initiative to step up and help others.
- Must be able to write, read, and speak English fluently. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Experience in public speaking preferred.
