As a Software Engineer II - .Net Developer + Python at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you'll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust full-stack applications using .NET and Python.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of applications.
• Continuously improve development processes and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Implement cloud-based solutions using Azure and/or AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Create secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with expertise in .NET and Python.
• Proficient in coding in .Net Core, web frameworks, C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework, LINQ and Python.
• Experience in configuring IIS web servers, building microservices, Kafka integrations and winforms.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms - Azure and/or AWS is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Exposure to AI/ML technologies and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
