Job description

The Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for helping to execute Johnson Brothers' supply chain strategy. This role provides leadership and oversight for key corporate support functions, including routing, warehouse excellence, safety, and data/analytics. The Vice President of Supply Chain will help to drive operational performance, standardization across branches, continuous improvement, and innovation across the organization's distribution network.

This position serves as a strategic partner to the Regional Directors of Operations and Branch Leadership teams, providing the tools, processes, analytics, and operational support necessary to achieve company objectives. The Vice President of Supply Chain will work collaboratively across the organization to identify opportunities for operational improvement, drive consistency across markets, take costs out of the system, and ensure execution of best practices throughout the supply chain network.

Job Description:

  • Execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with Johnson Brothers' growth objectives and long-term business goals that improve service, productivity, profitability, and scalability across the distribution network.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations, transportation, routing, office, analytics, and supply chain support functions to drive operational excellence and scalability.
  • Establish company-wide standards, operating procedures, and performance expectations to ensure consistency across all markets.
  • Partner closely with Regional Directors of Operations and Branch Leadership teams to improve operational performance and customer service execution.
  • Support the successful startup, integration, and operational readiness of new distribution centers and facility expansions.
  • Establish multi-year roadmaps for supply chain capabilities, technology investments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between Operations, Sales, Finance, IT, and Human Resources to achieve enterprise objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 18+ years of progressive leadership experience within supply chain, logistics, transportation, warehousing, or distribution operations.
  • Proven success leading multi-site distribution and delivery networks.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing transportation, routing, warehouse operations, safety and operational excellence programs.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing operating budgets, capital investments, productivity initiatives, and performance metrics.
  • Experience leading distribution center startups, facility expansions, network optimization projects, or major operational implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory control systems, and operational technologies.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing enterprise WMS platforms.

  • Proven ability to drive operational transformation through process improvement, analytics, and technology adoption.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel 50% throughout Johnson Brothers markets.
  • Beverage, consumer packaged goods, wholesale distribution, foodservice, or direct-store-delivery (DSD) experience.
  • Experience leading business intelligence, analytics, or operational reporting teams.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certifications.

The expected pay range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
