Position Summary:
Under the supervision of a Clinical Manager provides clinical consultation and backup administrative assistance for the program’s clinical staff. Also, provides individual therapy and case management and/or group education and therapy for a reduced caseload of patients with alcohol and other drug dependency problems.
Competencies:
Education
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health or related discipline.
Knowledge:
- Comprehensive knowledge of individual, group and/or family therapeutic techniques sufficient to provide clinical consultation to therapists/counselors in a substance abuse treatment setting.
- Knowledge of general policies and procedures governing substance abuse treatment programs.
Skills
- Must have high level of analytical ability necessary to gather, interpret and communicate data related to patient evaluations and ongoing treatment.
- Must have oral communication skills that allow effective clinical consultation to therapists/counselors.
- Must have interpersonal skills necessary to provide counseling and treatment to patients and to coordinate patient’s status.
Must have the following licensure in order to perform independent psychotherapy:
- Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSWC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Counselor- Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Certified Professional Counselor- Marriage and Family Therapist (CPC-MFT), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), or Licensed Psychologist.
- Three to five years in substance abuse or related mental health treatment; experience in a clinical setting.
Salary Range: Minimum 32.40/hour - Maximum 53.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
