Join our prestigious and talented Adult Emergency Department Nursing team at Johns Hopkins Health System at Howard County Medical Center!

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED)

Weekly Working Hours: 24 hours per week

Shift: 12-hour night shift

Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is an acute care community hospital with over 262 beds located in Columbia, Maryland and part of the prestigious Johns Hopkins Health System. We combine world-class clinical excellence with compassionate, patient-centered care.

Our medical center’s Adult Emergency Department has 36 beds, which includes 9 spaces/fast track beds. If you are looking to work in a community hospital ED, that utilizes Team Nursing, with a very stable nursing leadership team, and if you like working in a fast-paced environment, then we might be the right place for you.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (Required),
  • Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and
  • Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program.
  • RN - Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • CPR - Basic CPR (Required)
  • Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience (Required)
  • 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred)
  • 1 year of Emergency Department experience (Preferred)

Salary Range: Minimum 37.13/hour - Maximum 57.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
