Reporting to the Clinical Applications Manager, the Pharmacy Automation Coordinator II coordinates the maintenance and optimization of pharmacy automation, hardware and other systems to enhance operational efficiency and patient safety. Coordinates with pharmacy staff and IT staff to ensure seamless integration of automation and other technologies. Analyzes system performance, creates training material and identified opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, employee training, report generation and analysis, system implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting of computerized outpatient pharmacy systems, and participation in special projects. The Pharmacy Automation Coordinator II must also demonstrate the ability to set priorities, work independently, and perform technician duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- Some college preferred
- Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy required upon hire
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certified required upon hire
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in pharmacy automation systems.
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical mathematics
- Computer knowledge for data entry of prescriptions
- Knowledge of third party plans and how they are processed
- Knowledge of drug names (generic and brand)
- Knowledge and experience with the outpatient pharmacy computer systems and desktop solutions

Salary Range: Minimum $23.35/hour - Maximum $38.54/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
