The Department of Pharmacy, consistent with the mission of Johns Hopkins Medicine, places a priority on teaching, research and patient care. At the Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH), the department is responsible for providing pharmacy services for a diverse population of acute care patients as well as patients within the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and affiliated clinics. The JHH Adult Medicine, Emergency and Surgery (AMES) Pharmacy provides clinical pharmacy services and medication preparation and dispensing for all adult areas of the hospital and outpatient center. These are inclusive of cardiology, critical care, emergency medicine, medicine, neurology, oncology, peri-operative, psychiatry, surgery, and solid organ transplant services among others.
Responsibilities of the Clinical Pharmacist 1 (Night Shift) include but are not limited to providing clinical pharmacy services including medication order review and verification, therapeutic drug monitoring, providing recommendations to the multidisciplinary team, and emergency code response. They also support operations of the medication use process, including checking medications prior to dispensing them to the patient. They are also able to be involved in precepting, projects, and committee work.
Schedule: Night Shift – 7 days on / 7 days off (six 12-hour nights per week and one 8-hour night per week).

Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm. D. or BS degree
- Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is desired
- Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland required
- Hospital and departmental education requirements completed within 90 days of hire
- ACLS and/or PALS certification is desired
- Previous clinical health-system experience is desired
Salary Range: Minimum $51.79/hour - Maximum $85.52/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
