Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated operations assistant to support our dispatch and logistics team. This is an excellent for someone looking to build a career in transportation and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior dispatchers with daily dispatch operations
• Track and trace company drivers and shipments
• Communicate load details, pickup, and delivery instructions to drivers
• Update dispatch systems with accurate load and driver information
• Respond to driver and customer inquiries in a professional manner
• Manage ACI eManifest submissions, ensure customs compliance for Canada–U.S. shipments, coordinate with brokers and drivers, and handle trucking office administrative tasks.
• Assist with documentation, billing support, and data entry
• Report delays, issues, or exceptions to senior dispatch staff
• Perform other administrative and operational tasks as required

Qualifications

• Previous dispatch or logistics experience is an asset but not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Strong typing speed and accuracy
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Additional languages (Punjabi, Hindi, French) are an asset
• Punctuality is mandatory — attendance and reliability are non-negotiable
• Previous experience in a trucking or logistics office with knowledge of ACI eManifest filings, customs clearance procedures, and cross-border shipping operations as an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
