- Arrive at the depot counter early in the morning, aligning with the arrival time of the majority of farmers at the APMC, to ensure timely service and product availability.
- Attend to farmers visiting the depot counter, assisting them with fertilizer purchases and answering basic queries.
- Introduce and sell Nisarg Series products in a simple, farmer-friendly manner, highlighting benefits for crop growth, soil health, and sustainable farming.
- Handle counter operations including billing, cash collection, and issuing receipts to ensure smooth transactions.
- Maintain stock records and organize inventory at the depot, ensuring availability of products for daily farmer demand.
- Provide product demonstrations and basic guidance to farmers, helping them understand usage and application methods.
- Encourage repeat purchases by building rapport with farmers and promoting trust in product quality.
- Collect farmer feedback on product performance and share insights with the sales team to improve service and product adoption.
- Ensure accountability and smooth operations by keeping accurate records of daily sales, stock movement, and farmer interactions.
Requirements
- Qualifications:No specific degree required
- Candidates with background in:
Horticulture / Agriculture Nursery operations, Gardening or landscaping will be preferred
- Candidates with degrees in: BBA / B.Com / Marketing can also be considered if they have relevant field sales experience.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in:
- Agri-input sales (fertilizers, soil conditioners, bio-products, or crop nutrition solutions)
- Working with dealers, distributors, and agri-retail networks
- Selling to farmers and agricultural establishments through channel partners
- Experience in field sales and dealer/distributor management is essential, including:
1. Building and maintaining strong dealer relationships
2. Driving product adoption among farmers through demonstrations, field days, and training sessions
- Ensuring repeat orders and expanding distribution coverage
