Job Description

We are seeking experienced IT Specialists / Full Stack Developers to support a federal technology program. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications using modern microservices architecture.

Candidates should have strong experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot, along with frontend development using ReactJS. The position also requires experience with messaging systems, containerized applications, DevOps tools, and cloud platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

Programming & Development

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
• Experience with JavaScript

Frontend Development

• Experience with ReactJS

Messaging & Integration

• Experience with Red Hat AMQ / ActiveMQ
• Experience with IBM MQ
• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience with webMethods Suite (Integration Server, Universal Messaging, My webMethods Server)

APIs & Protocols

• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and SOAP services
• Knowledge of AMQP, HTTPS, JMS, JDBC, and TLS

DevOps & CI/CD

• Experience with CI/CD automation tools such as GitHub Actions
• Experience with Maven-based build pipelines
• Experience with fully automated CI/CD environments

Containerization & Orchestration

• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Helm or similar orchestration tools

Data & Databases

• Experience with Oracle Exadata
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with IBM DB2
• Familiarity with Red Hat Data Grid (Infinispan)

Monitoring & Logging

• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience with Splunk or AppDynamics
• Experience with Fluent Bit or similar logging tools

Architecture & Cloud

• Experience building cloud-native microservices architecture
• Experience with Kubernetes-based container platforms
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environments

Security

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Knowledge of API gateway security
• Experience with secure coding practices and DevSecOps controls
• Understanding of TLS and enterprise security standards

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation (MBI)
• Ability to work onsite in Lanham, MD
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
