Job Description
As a User Researcher at JioHotstar, you will collaborate closely with designers, product management, and engineers to shape and deliver new experiences for the platform. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and designing new products, interfaces, and user experiences across various platforms.
- Working with product designers & managers to define problem statements and develop project execution plans.
- Coordinating with the UXR team & data science team to create metrics-driven and user-centric solutions.
- Collaborating with engineers and product managers from content to production to create user flows, wireframes, and build user-interface mockups and prototypes.
Successful candidates for this role possess the following skills and attributes:
- 7-8 years of experience as a UX Research Specialist or similar role, with a focus on project and hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies, including experimental design, sample selection, surveys, focus groups, usability testing, and more.
- Strong interest in UX Design processes and methodologies, with a passion for research and testing.
- Ability to translate research insights into product experiences, work within tight timelines, and exhibit excellent project management skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system research and user testing outcomes for web, desktop, and mobile experiences.
- Experience collaborating with diverse project stakeholders and teams in both local and geographically distributed settings.
- Strong communication skills to present to various audience types and provide actionable insights based on research findings.
Additionally, it is beneficial to have experience in applying primary research in the consumer-facing product space, and possess an educational background in Psychology, User Experience, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Social sciences, or related fields.
