Join an elite engineering team rebuilding the $300B insurance claims industry. As a Software Engineer at Strala, you will own core infrastructure, architect AI-native pipelines, and ship production-grade code from day one. You will work alongside world-class engineers from HFT firms and top research labs to automate complex insurance workflows.

What You Will Do

• Own and architect core infrastructure, databases (PostgreSQL, vector DBs), and multi-modal AI pipelines that handle intake, routing, and fraud detection.
• Ship production-grade backend code using Python on your first day, taking full end-to-end ownership from initial specification to production deployment.
• Collaborate directly with the founding team to scale the existing codebase and help hire the next generation of high-performance engineering talent.

The ideal candidate

• Possesses 2-5 years of backend development experience, specifically with Python and cloud environments including GCP, AWS, and Docker.
• Demonstrates high agency and a proven track record of solving complex problems in high-performance environments like HFT, quant shops, or top labs.
• Exhibits mastery of core system design, including REST, GraphQL, and database architecture, with the ability to build fast, production-ready features.
