Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Poultry Farm Manager role based in Gorakhpur. The Poultry Farm Manager will oversee day-to-day farm operations, including flock management, feeding schedules, watering systems, and environmental control (temperature, ventilation, and lighting). The role includes monitoring bird health, coordinating with veterinarians, implementing vaccination and biosecurity protocols, and maintaining accurate records of mortality, feed consumption, and production. The manager will supervise and train farm staff, assign daily tasks, and ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards. The position also involves managing inventory of feed, medicines, and equipment, coordinating with suppliers and transporters, and reporting performance metrics and issues to senior management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of poultry farming practices, including broiler management, flock health monitoring, and biosecurity procedures.
• Experience in day-to-day farm operations such as feed management, environmental control, and routine farm maintenance.
• People management skills to supervise staff, organize work schedules, and provide on-the-job training and guidance.
• Basic record-keeping and data management skills, including maintaining logs for production, mortality, medication, and inventory.
• Ability to identify early signs of disease or stress in birds and coordinate timely veterinary care and preventive measures.
• Good communication skills to interact with workers, suppliers, transporters, veterinarians, and management.
• Capability to work on-site in a rural or semi-urban farm environment and respond quickly to operational issues or emergencies.Agriculture, or a related field is preferred; significant practical poultry experience may be considered in place of formal education.
• Understanding of basic safety, hygiene, and environmental standards applicable to livestock and poultry operations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or early mornings, as required by farm operations.
