Job Description
We are seeking a senior Environmental & Regulatory Subject Matter Expert with experience supporting LNG, FLNG, marine terminal, offshore, or major energy infrastructure projects, and strong knowledge of environmental assessment and regulatory processes in British Columbia, Canada.
This is a senior-level, owner-side technical assurance engagement. The successful candidate will provide independent review of environmental and permitting work, identify potential regulatory and schedule risks, and support project leadership with practical recommendations regarding environmental program readiness and compliance.
Key Experience
✅ Environmental assessment and permitting for LNG, FLNG, marine infrastructure, offshore facilities, or comparable industrial projects
✅ Experience gained within project owners, consulting organizations, regulatory agencies, or environmental assessment teams
✅ Understanding of terrestrial and marine environmental studies
✅ Ability to review environmental baseline studies, permitting strategies, regulatory applications, consultant deliverables, and permitting matrices
✅ Familiarity with federal and British Columbia environmental assessment and permitting processes
✅ Experience with GIS and environmental data management systems is beneficial
Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications are an asset
