Position Summary
Ironmark is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and creative Content Marketing Manager to lead content planning, production, and execution across a portfolio of client accounts.
This role serves as the central hub for content development across social media, websites, blogs, email marketing, paid advertising, and other digital marketing channels. The Content Marketing Manager partners closely with Strategists, Designers, SEO Specialists, Paid Media teams, Account Managers, and freelance writers to ensure content supports business objectives, aligns with brand standards, and drives measurable results.
This is a hybrid role that blends content leadership with hands-on content creation. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing editorial calendars, coordinating freelance writers, collaborating with creative teams, and personally writing or editing content when needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy & Planning
- Develop and manage content plans that support client marketing goals and integrated digital marketing strategies.
- Create and maintain editorial calendars, social media calendars, and campaign content schedules.
- Manage and provide oversight into copy creation to ensure messaging matches brand and content guidelines by client.
- Collaborate with Strategists, SEO Specialists, Paid Media teams, Web & UX team and Account Managers to align content with broader marketing initiatives.
- Identify content opportunities that support audience engagement, lead generation, customer retention, and brand visibility.
Content Creation & Editorial Management
- Create and edit content across social media, blogs, websites, email marketing, paid advertising, landing pages, and other digital channels.
- Support the development of content briefs, messaging frameworks, and creative direction for internal and external contributors.
- Review content for quality, consistency, accuracy, brand alignment, and performance.
- Serve as the final editorial checkpoint before content is published or delivered.
- Step into content production when project needs, timelines, or resource constraints require hands-on support.
Content Operations & Collaboration
- Manage relationships with freelance writers and external content contributors.
- Coordinate content production timelines and deliverables across internal and external teams.
- Partner with Designers, Developers, Strategists, Paid Media Specialists, and SEO Specialists to support integrated campaigns.
- Develop scalable workflows and processes that improve content quality, efficiency, and consistency.
Content Performance & Optimization
- Collaborate with SEO and Strategy teams to optimize content for search visibility, engagement, and conversions.
- Monitor content performance and recommend improvements based on audience behavior and campaign results.
- Support content reporting and contribute insights that improve future content initiatives.
- Evaluate AI-assisted content tools and workflows that improve efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4–7 years of experience in content marketing, copywriting and editorial management.
- 2+ years supporting content management of multiple brands or clients, preferably within an agency environment, across multiple digital channels.
- Demonstrated experience writing and editing content across multiple digital channels.
- Experience managing content production workflows and freelance contributors.
- Strong understanding of how content supports SEO, paid media, email marketing, social media, and lead generation.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Preferred
- Agency experience supporting multiple client accounts.
- Experience with healthcare, multifamily, higher education, franchise, or B2B marketing.
- Familiarity with SEO, AEO, content optimization, and AI-assisted content workflows.
- Experience with content management systems, marketing automation platforms, and social scheduling tools.
