Iris’s client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Java With Sr Gen AI Developer / Lead for a long term contract opportunity.

Our Client is a Canada multinational financial services company and the largest bank in Canada by market capitalization. The bank serves over 17 million clients and has more than 89,000 employees worldwide. Bank is serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services.

Position: Sr Gen AI Developer / Lead

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skill

• Design and deliver enterprise GenAI solutions using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI frameworks. Lead architecture, implementation, and production deployment of scalable AI platforms. Will be required to work with offshore team and lead client discussions with multiple stakeholders like Cloud Engg team, Architecture team, AI approval board etc.

Mandatory Skills

• LLM & GenAI architecture (RAG, embeddings, prompting, hallucination control)
• Vector DB & retrieval systems (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, Azure AI Search)
• Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph)
• Cloud deployment & CI/CD (Docker, Kubernetes, API integration)
• 8+ yrs in software/architecture; 2+ yrs in GenAI/LLM projects

Good to Have

• Multi-cloud & microservices architecture
• Python / Java / Node.js programming
• RAG optimization & evaluation
• LLM integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, open-source)
• Responsible AI, governance, security, observability
