Client is seeking for strong experience in AWS cloud-native application development and TypeScript to support the design and development of the NAEP platform. This role provides technical leadership in building scalable, cloud-native applications and collaborates closely with architects, product teams, and engineering staff.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of cloud-native solutions in AWS using modern architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.

Architect and develop scalable TypeScript backend services and APIs.

Guide technical design decisions and mentor developers on modern engineering practices.

Design secure, high-performance REST APIs and backend services.

Work with a variety of data stores including Amazon S3, PostgreSQL, and other databases.

Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with web applications.

Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Infrastructure as Code practices.

Ensure applications meet security, performance, and reliability standards.

Participate in Agile development processes and support frequent releases.

Required Qualifications

Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript development.

Strong/Expert level proficiency in building and deploying cloud-native solutions with AWS.

Experience building serverless applications on AWS using services such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and IAM roles/permissions.

Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful web services (REST/JSON APIs).

Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred).

Sound knowledge of ECMAScript (ES6+) specification.

Proficiency in JavaScript design patterns, transpilers, and module bundlers.

Proven success designing, coding, and implementing scalable software solutions using modern technologies and engineering practices.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certification.
