Job Description
As a Network Systems Engineer at IQVIA, you will play a crucial role in supporting enterprise and corporate networks. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing Tier-2 support for enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN, and security environments for branch sites and data centers.
- Troubleshooting network connectivity issues such as wireless, routing, switching, ACI, VPN, and destination reachability by analyzing problems using OSI model fundamentals and documenting root cause and resolution.
- Handling incidents, service requests, and changes in accordance with defined SLAs and ITIL processes.
- Performing configuration and troubleshooting on switches, routers, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Assisting in device code upgrades and software maintenance activities for various network devices under approved change windows.
- Collaborating with Tier-3 teams by escalating complex issues with clear technical details and logs.
- Utilizing monitoring tools and ServiceNow for ticket tracking, updates, and closure.
- Being prepared to work in a 24x7 support environment, including shift-based operations and on-call support as needed.
In terms of qualifications, you should have:
- 2-6 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise/corporate networks.
- Graduation in any stream.
- CCNA certification is mandatory, while CCNP certification is an added advantage.
Your technical skills should include a strong understanding of OSI & TCP/IP models, hands-on troubleshooting experience with Cisco switches, routers, wireless controllers, access points, ACI, firewalls, and F5 load balancers. Additionally, familiarity with ITIL practices and experience working with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools is required. It is preferred that you have worked in an MNC environment and have experience with large-scale enterprise network infrastructure.
While not mandatory, knowledge of network scripting/automation, Cisco Voice/Collaboration, and exposure to enterprise monitoring tools would be beneficial. In terms of soft skills, you should possess a strong willingness to learn, be self-motivated, proactive, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
