Job Description

As a Medical Representative at IQVIA, your main responsibility will be to maximize sales growth in a specified geographical territory by educating and informing physicians and/or hospital staff about the features and benefits of the customer's products compared to competitor products. This will ultimately lead to increased prescriptions and/or usage by healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned activity goals and targets for the territory in agreement with the reporting manager, with initial supervision and coaching provided by the company, customer, and manager.
  • Conduct sales interviews, carry out pre-call planning, and develop a self-analytical approach to identify learning areas from each call.
  • Promote and sell customer's therapeutic products to general practitioners and other healthcare providers in the retail market.
  • Identify target customers within a specific geographical territory while maintaining and analyzing customer records.
  • Utilize relevant software, such as Electronic Territory Management System and CRM systems, to maintain updated records and report daily calls.
  • Organize group events to optimize business within the boundaries of relevant country legislation.
  • Keep the Line Manager informed about competitor activities and market changes.
  • Maintain up-to-date sales and technical knowledge of specialty and disease areas as per customer profile.
  • Ensure all Company equipment is safe and in good repair.
  • Share experiences, ideas, and techniques to assist in the sales training of colleagues.
  • Discuss, agree, and document assigned activity, Key Performance Indicator tools, and targets with the Line Manager.
  • Complete career development courses and additional training as required.
  • Report any identified Adverse Events in line with prevailing process and guidelines.
  • Project a professional image of the Company and act in accordance with the relevant Pharmaceutical Industry's Code of Practice.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience required, or Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Pharma Market and related procedures.
  • Fluency in software operating systems such as MS Office and customer relationship management systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct face-to-face presentations to customers.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.
  • Plans to obtain any industry qualifications essential to function as a Medical Representative in the relevant market.
  • Valid and In-State Driver's License required.
