Job Title: SRE (Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer)

Location: India Remote

Job Type: Contract

Work Time Zone: 70% overlap with Pacific Time Zone (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST)

Job Experience Requirements:

• 15+ years of overall IT experience and 7+ years of AWS cloud tools used for hosting and managing the platform.
• Very strong, hands-on experience with Infrastructure as code tools (e.g. AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi) and config management tools (e.g. AWS SSM, Ansible).
• Very strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell), automation patterns.
• Strong understanding of monitoring patterns, SLIs, APM, Synthetic Health Checks, Tracing etc.
• Passionate about building an inclusive engineering culture, with teams that are both eager to learn, and deeply curious. An experienced technology leader - leading, establishing, and managing enterprise DevOps, CI/CD solutions, automation, and configuration management.
• Strong understanding of OS abstraction (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate, EKS) and continuous delivery patterns in large-scale environments.
• An excellent communicator, with the ability to simplify key messages, present compelling stories, and promote technical and personal credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong experience with cloud architecture, security, IAM, privacy, data security, security patterns, and compliance controls.
• A leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale services on public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Leads from the front with strong engineering solutions.
• Self-directed. Experienced managing and developing remote teams and workers, you demonstrate specialist leadership traits that enable world class remote teams to thrive.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional)
• AWS Certified Security Specialty

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate ability to integrate computing needs of disparate departments into a coherent, secure, encompassing data processing environment.
• Deliver computing services in cloud-based environment (AWS). Develop and support solutions to automate the creation, management, or destruction of infrastructure; remove complex technical impediments.
• Champion company-wide improvements to become best-in-class with cloud-based deployments while also promoting approaches improve productivity and reduce cost (OS abstraction, right-sized capacity and scalability, global caching, and simplifying environments).
• Own the build & deploy lifecycle; drastically reduce build, deploy rollback times while simultaneously reducing risk and exposure.
• Lead transformation efforts to a modern scalable highly available service-based system with disaster recovery options for critical applications.
