Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Cloud Engineer to support healthcare-focused cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for early‑career professionals who want hands‑on experience maintaining secure, compliant, and highly available cloud environments that directly support clinical operations, patient care systems, and hospital IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure supporting EHR systems, clinical applications, imaging systems.
- Monitor performance, security, and cost‑efficiency of cloud resources used in healthcare workloads.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for cloud-hosted clinical systems under supervision of senior engineers.
- Participate in incident response processes related to uptime of critical healthcare systems.
- Assist with automation and scripting for routine healthcare IT tasks ( for example Ansible, TerraForm, PowerShell).
- Document system configurations, updates, and clinical system architecture dependencies.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, clinical IT, cybersecurity, and application teams.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in IT or cloud administration.
- Foundational knowledge of Azure (preferred), or AWS or GCP.
- Basic understanding of healthcare IT concepts (e.g., HIPAA, PHI handling, clinical applications).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix or Windows servers.
- Understanding of networking concepts including VPNs, DNS, load balancing.
- Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree (Technology related area) Required, Bachelors preferred. Cloud certification (Azure/ AWS/GCP) or actively pursuing.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Exposure to healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR), clinical systems, or PACS.
· Basic Understanding of basic IT infrastructure (Network, OS, Active Directory/Entra, DHCP, DNS etc)
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills to work with clinical and non‑clinical staff.
- Willingness to learn and grow in cloud and healthcare IT domains.
- Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
