Tableau Developer - Data Visualization & Analytics

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Developer with a strong focus on data visualization, dashboard design, and data storytelling to support a new customer analytics initiative. This role will play a critical part in transforming existing customer, firmographic, and operational datasets into visually compelling, easy-to-understand dashboards that clearly communicate performance metrics and insights.

The ideal candidate excels at quickly understanding complex datasets, translating business requirements into intuitive visual experiences, and creating executive-level dashboards that tell a clear and impactful story. This role works exclusively with internal stakeholders and will help elevate the organization's overall analytics presentation and consumption. This is a year + long contract duration and onsite 2x a week in Reading, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver expert-level Tableau dashboards that clearly communicate customer and operational metrics
• Transform existing datasets into clean, visually compelling, and insightful stories through best-in-class data visualization techniques
• Quickly assess multiple data sources and tables, combining and structuring data to support accurate and meaningful visualizations
• Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and determine what metrics should and should not be displayed
• Translate complex B2B transactional data into intuitive visual representations tailored to stakeholder needs
• Extract, manipulate, and prepare data from cloud-based sources (AWS) to support dashboard development
• Apply strong SQL skills to query, transform, and validate data used in reporting and analytics
• Ensure dashboards are visually polished, easy to navigate, and aligned with data storytelling and visualization best practices

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience developing complex, interactive Tableau dashboards (portfolio or work samples required)
• Strong expertise in data visualization, dashboard design, and data storytelling best practices
• Experience working with customer, firmographic, and operational datasets
• Solid SQL skills, including the ability to manipulate and combine data from multiple tables
• Experience extracting and working with data from cloud platforms, preferably AWS
