Frontend Staff Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Frontend Staff Engineer with a strong background in building modern web applications and features using Next.js within the past three years. This individual will contribute across two primary workstreams:

Platform Modernization: Enhancing and ultimately retiring the existing monorepo to improve developer workflows. This includes enabling independent feature deployments, optimizing build processes, and contributing to a more scalable frontend architecture.

Component Development: Designing and developing reusable, high-quality UI components across multiple web pages using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Next.js.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and will play an active role in mentoring junior and intermediate developers. Candidates must be comfortable working EST or CST hours and must meet the qualifications listed below.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years experience in Sr Frontend Development

Expert knowledge of React, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript

Drive performance budgets, Core Web Vitals improvements, and accessibility standards

Built web applications and web features on Next.js in the past 3 years

Strong understanding of web standards, responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and SEO best practices.

Proficiency with modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Babel, ESLint, Prettier, etc.).

Experience mentoring and coaching junior and intermediate developers and enjoys working in a team environment

Experience with architecture and design experience Experience working with headless CMS platforms
