Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - General Accounting - Insurance Brokerage

As an experienced professional with more than 6 years of experience in General Accounting, you will be responsible for the following essential responsibilities:
- Manage & enhance books of accounts, validate ledger entries, and perform matching exercises on a daily basis.
- Perform regular audits and reconciliations for brokerage and accounts receivable, resolving discrepancies and establishing clear guidance for clearance to ensure compliance with financial standards.
- Create, verify, and issue invoices, coordinate with clients & insurers for timely payments, and maintain organized invoicing records.
- Suggest and implement improvements to accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams, communicate with clients, work with underwriters, and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, analyze financial data, and support audits with necessary documentation.
- Coordinate closely with brokers to ensure smooth processing of all transactions, maintaining clear communication and addressing issues promptly.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to make sound judgments based on the evidence presented.
In terms of education and required skills, the ideal candidate should have:
- A graduate degree in Finance/Accounting or a postgraduate degree with any specialization.
- Technical expertise in MS Excel, including basic and advanced formulas for reporting purposes.
- Experience in INDAS and general accounting, reconciliation, journal ledger, P&L, etc.
