Job Title: Experienced Accountant / Accounts Executive (Kerala, India)
Location: Pala/ Meenachil
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to manage the complete spectrum of day-to-day financial and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proven track record of handling tax compliance, specifically Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Income Tax Return (ITR) filings, with practical work experience in Kerala, India. We are looking for an individual who can ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial records and reporting. Experienced candidates are strongly preferred for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and file all mandated tax returns, including monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.), annual GST returns, and Income Tax Returns (ITR).
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of tax liabilities and input tax credit (ITC).
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with all Indian accounting standards and statutory regulations.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Tax Expertise: Documented training and practical, hands-on experience in GST and other applicable tax filings in India.
- Work Experience: Prior professional work experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in Kerala, India.
- Operational Management: Proven ability to independently manage and oversee all day-to-day accounting and administrative operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
- Language: Fluency in English and Malayalam.
Experience Level
Experienced candidates are highly preferred. We encourage applicants with substantial, practical experience in a similar role to apply.
