Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD) is excited to announce we are seeking a Site Supervisor, Dewatering Operations.
This position is in located on a remote site with an attractive 14 day rotation, working 12 hour shifts. This is a camp position that is fly in/fly out from Calgary or Edmonton Hub.
If you are local to Fort McMurray, you are still required to stay in camp the full rotation.
The successful candidate is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all contracted work on site. This role provides frontline leadership to field crews, ensuring operational excellence while reinforcing ICD’s strong safety culture.
Working closely with the Site Manager and cross-shift counterpart, the Site Supervisor ensures that all client expectations are consistently met or exceeded, while maintaining positive working relationships and high standards of communication. The Supervisor plays a critical role in coordinating daily operations, optimizing workforce productivity, and ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visible leadership to field crews, promoting accountability, teamwork, and a safety-first mindset
- Coordinate with cross-shift supervision to ensure seamless operational continuity
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members to align with company standards and expectations
- Manage crew scheduling, including shift coverage, overtime requirements, and vacation planning
- Lead daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings to reinforce hazard awareness and safe work practices
- Champion ICD’s safety culture by leading by example and actively addressing unsafe conditions or behaviors
- Conduct regular field inspections, audits, and spot checks to ensure compliance with HSE standards and site requirements
- Review and validate all safety documentation submitted by crew members
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Plan, prioritize, and assign daily tasks based on operational needs, safety considerations, and environmental factors
- Oversee dewatering operations to ensure efficiency, reliability, and minimal downtime
- Monitor workforce productivity and adjust resources as required to meet operational targets
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure equipment reliability and timely issue resolution
- Complete and submit accurate daily workforce reports and operational updates
- Coordinate with the Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate completion of LEMs and associated documentation
- Ensure all client reporting requirements are met on time and to a high standard
- Track and support key performance indicators (KPIs) established by management and HSE teams
- Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with the client on site
- Communicate client requests, concerns, and feedback to the Site Manager in a timely manner
- Work proactively to meet and exceed client expectations
- Attend meetings (on-site or off-site) as required to support operational and client objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role in a mining or oil sands environment
- 2+ years experience with dewatering pumps, rigging in and out
- 2+ years experience with work orders and parts processing
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP software
- Solid background working closely with clients to meet production needs
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

- 2+ years of experience in a dewatering environment

Successful candidates must provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter
- Copy of valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Copy of current 3-year clean driver’s abstract
- Copies of training certificates
