At Ingram Micro, our Business Development Representatives (BDRs) play a critical role in driving business growth by helping customers and vendor partners maximize the value of the Xvantage™ platform. Through data-driven insights, sales enablement, customer engagement, and strategic partnership development, BDRs help accelerate customer acquisition, pipeline growth, training adoption, and cross-sell opportunities.
As a Business Development Representative, you will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for a designated customer portfolio, vendor partner, or technology solutions category. Working closely with sales teams, vendors, and customers, you will leverage market knowledge, platform insights, and solution expertise to identify opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and drive measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Do
Drive Xvantage Platform Adoption & Business Growth
- Leverage Xvantage platform insights and data to identify growth opportunities for customers and vendor partners.
- Drive increased platform utilization and engagement among reseller partners and vendors.
- Support initiatives focused on customer acquisition, pipeline generation, partner recruitment, and revenue growth.
- Recommend strategic actions that improve partner performance and business outcomes.
Solution Enablement & Subject Matter Expertise
- Develop expertise within assigned customer segments, vendor portfolios, or technology categories.
- Build a comprehensive understanding of Ingram Micro's products, services, and value-added solutions.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, competitive offerings, and market developments.
- Position Ingram Micro as a trusted advisor by providing informed recommendations and business insights.
- Create sales collateral, presentations, and enablement materials that support customer and sales team success.
- Deliver training sessions and educational programs to increase awareness and adoption of key solutions and services.
Sales Support & Business Development
- Partner with internal sales teams to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, customer presentations, technical consultations, and proposal development.
- Contribute to pipeline development efforts and strategic growth initiatives.
- Help drive adoption of category-specific solutions and Ingram Micro value-added services.
Customer & Vendor Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Proactively engage customers to understand their business challenges, goals, and opportunities.
- Provide tailored recommendations that address customer needs and support long-term success.
- Collaborate with vendor partners to stay informed on product updates, promotions, incentives, and marketing initiatives.
- Leverage vendor relationships to deliver maximum value for customers and partners.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, customer success, sales support, or a related role.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating positive business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the technology, IT, SaaS, cloud, distribution, or solutions-based sales industry.
- Experience supporting platform-based products, services, or digital ecosystems.
- Familiarity with channel sales, reseller networks, or vendor partner programs.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
