Job description
At ING Australia, we believe in empowering our people to do their best work. We foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and inclusivity, where fresh ideas are encouraged, achievements are celebrated, and career growth is supported. If you're looking to make a meaningful impact in a high-performing, customer-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our Mortgage Originations team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of home lending. This is an opportunity to transform the mortgage journey, delivering innovative solutions that make it simpler, faster and more seamless for customers.
In this role, you'll lead an Agile squad responsible for delivering strategic initiatives that enhance the mortgage origination experience through digitisation, automation and process improvement. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations and Risk to prioritise delivery, manage competing demands and ensure solutions align with ING's strategic objectives.
Success in this role will come from your ability to balance customer needs, business priorities and regulatory requirements while driving measurable outcomes. By leveraging customer insights, data and continuous improvement practices, you'll help create exceptional customer experiences, improve operational efficiency and support ING's ongoing growth in home lending.
What you'll do
Lead an Agile squad to deliver strategic mortgage origination initiatives that support ING's customer and business objectives.
Own and prioritise the product backlog, translating business priorities into clear user stories and actionable delivery plans.
Champion the voice of the customer, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve customer journeys and reduce time-to-decision.
Partner with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk and external vendors to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.
Drive continuous improvement through data-led insights, performance monitoring and ongoing optimisation of products, processes and experiences.
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role within an Agile delivery environment.
Exceptional experience managing product backlogs and leading digital transformation or process improvement initiatives.
Customer-centric mindset with a demonstrated ability to design and enhance end-to-end customer journeys.
Sound understanding of risk, compliance and regulatory requirements, ideally within financial services or lending.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around shared outcomes.
What’s in it for you?

An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing
An IMPACT day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity
