Job description

The team
The Global Media team is part of ING’s Global Brand, Marketing and Communications function. The team supports ING markets in strengthening media effectiveness across paid media, media analytics, agency management, measurement and strategic media partnerships. It plays a coordinating role between global strategy and local market execution, helping to improve consistency, capability and performance across ING’s international media activities.

About the role
We are seeking an intern to join the Global Media team for a period of 6 months. The intern will support the coordination and delivery of global media initiatives across multiple ING markets. This role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in an international marketing environment, with exposure to paid media, marketing measurement, agency governance, media partnerships and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities
A selection of the following activities:

  • Support the coordination of global media initiatives across ING markets, including marketing mix modelling, paid media capability development and campaign measurement activities.
  • Ensure roll-out of global initiative on responsibilities between performance and brand marketing team as aligned globally.
  • Analyse, audit and report the ways of working and agency set-up across the 9 retails markets across advertising verticals including paid media, SEO, MMM, CRM, Apps and CRO
  • Collect, structure and summarise input from markets, agencies and external partners into clear and actionable team outputs.
  • Support selected workstreams related to strategic media partnerships with key platforms partners like Google, Meta, TikTok and Reddit.
  • Maintain overviews of project timelines, action lists, follow-ups and key deliverables across markets and partners.
  • Contribute to paid media reporting and dashboarding activities, including taxonomy support, market input collection and performance reporting preparation.

How to succeed

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme, preferably in marketing, business, communications, media, analytics or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in digital media, marketing effectiveness, paid media platforms, data and international brand communications.
  • Shows initiative, is pro-active and self-starting, and is a resourceful problem-solver.
  • Flexible, likes to explore, can handle changes, and not yet set project boundaries.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to summarise complex information clearly and accurately.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Confident user of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word; experience with dashboards, analytics tools or media platforms is considered an advantage.
  • Curious, collaborative and eager to learn in a fast-paced international environment.
