We’re looking for a hands-on Production Technician to join our Longueuil team.
This role sits at the intersection of quality and repair — you’ll be the person who figures out why something failed and ensures it doesn’t happen again. Your work directly supports our customers and keeps our production line running clean.
This is a fully bilingual role. You must be fluent in both French and English (written and spoken) to be considered.
What You’ll Do
- Customer RMA Failure Analysis
- Receive, log, and triage customer-returned units from RMA claims
- Perform systematic failure analysis to identify root cause (electrical, mechanical, workmanship, or design-related)
- Document findings with clear, reproducible FA reports including failure mode classification, evidence, and recommended corrective actions
- Conducted functionality testing using multiple test stations to ensure product integrity.
- Diagnose and rework PCBs using soldering and rework techniques (through-hole and SMD), including component-level replacement
- Skilled in mechanical tool operation, including the use of hand tools, torque drivers, and precision measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of IPC class 2 standards (Desirable)
- Assembly Line Reject Analysis
- Perform FA on units flagged as rejects at inspection points (IQC, in-process, OQC)
- Identify defect patterns and escalate systemic issues to Engineering and Quality
- Support root cause investigation and assist in verifying effectiveness of corrective actions General
- Maintain accurate records in the quality management system
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, and ESD handling protocols
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the floor
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, repair, or test Proficient in PCB soldering and rework (SMD and through-hole);
- IPC-7711/7721 certification is a plus
- Experience performing failure analysis and writing FA reports Comfortable reading schematics, BOMs, and work instructions Familiarity with test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies
- Strong attention to detail and methodical troubleshooting approach
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fully bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) — required
Nice to Have
- Experience with battery management systems or electromechanical assemblies Background in consumer electronics, EV, or mobility hardware
- Experience with Jira or ticket systems
- Experience with Google sheets or excel Familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards
