Position: Senior Cloud Engineer – GCP (Contract)

Location: Hybrid – Toronto (44 King St. W., 8th Floor)

Onsite: 1 day every 2 weeks (Wednesdays) – GTA-based candidates preferred

Duration: 4 Months (Extension and FTE Conversion Possible)

Start Date: ASAP

We’re seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a high-impact Cloud Acceleration initiative focused on transitioning workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . This contract position sits within the Cloud Engineering team, which drives innovation, automation, and modernization across cloud infrastructure at scale.

🌐 Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain cloud platforms and services using Terraform, Python, Go, and GCP technologies
• Lead cloud engineering efforts for GCVE, GCS, and persistent storage solutions
• Collaborate with platform and development teams to onboard applications to GCP
• Develop infrastructure as code and automate DevOps pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers and lead sprint deliverables in an Agile/Kanban environment
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, availability, and scalability requirements

✅ Must-Have Skills:

• 8+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure operations, or DevOps
• 3+ years of Terraform experience (in production environments)
• 1–2 years of hands-on GCP operations and administration
• Strong scripting/development skills (e.g., Python, HCL )
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker), config tools (Ansible, Salt), and infrastructure as code

💡 Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with GCNV, GCS, persistent storage , or Unix admin
• Familiarity with Argo, Jenkins, Helm
