Automation Engineer - Pytest - Bengaluru (7+ Years)

Experience Requirements:

7–8 years of overall IT experience

• Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in test automation
• Strong expertise in:
• Python, Pytest, Cucumber BDD, Kubernetes, Cloud AWS, Gitlab CI, API Automation, PlayWright
• Experience with:
• Designing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Gherkin syntax and BDD principles
• Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab)
• Version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Test reporting and defect tracking tools (e.g., ALM, JIRA)
• API testing (REST Assured) – optional
• Linux/Unix shell scripting – basic

Preferred Skills:

• Page Object Model (POM)
• Data-driven testing
• Test result analysis and debugging
• Ability to mentor junior team members

Scope of Work:

• Develop automation scripts using Python Pytest and Cucumber BDD
• Containerize test environments using Docker
• Deploy and manage test execution via Kubernetes
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Provide documentation and weekly progress reports
