As an Assistant Manager in Inbound Operations at Indus Discoveries Pvt. Ltd., you will be an integral part of a family-owned company known for its exceptional tailor-made holidays and destination management services in India, Nepal, and Bhutan. Your role will involve managing bookings, negotiating rates with service providers, coordinating with clients during tours, resolving itinerary hurdles creatively, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage bookings with hotels, airlines, trains, safaris, flights, and other transportation services.
- Negotiate better rates with hotels and other service providers when necessary.
- Manage the entire life cycle of events, including accounting and documentation, ensuring seamless coordination with clients during tours.
- Proactively resolve any hurdles in the itinerary and work towards preemptive solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in briefings and debriefings with sales executives for each tour.
- Cultivate strong relationships with all service providers.
- Mentor junior operations staff and oversee their daily tasks.
- Maintain accurate booking statements records in the database.
- Manage operation checklists efficiently.
- Assist with arrival and departure transfers at Delhi airport and railway stations as needed.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduate or Postgraduate, preferably with a Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, or a related field, demonstrating excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated track record in efficiently handling inbound tour operations.
- Hands-on experience in managing on-ground operations to ensure smooth end-to-end client experiences.
- Proficiency in English language, travel software, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
