Job Description
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for managing end-to-end import operations, container movement, documentation, and coordination with overseas vendors and clearing agents. As an experienced Import & Logistics Executive, your attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of import procedures and container logistics will be key in ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and file all import documentation accurately.
- Track containers from origin to destination and maintain shipment status updates.
- Handle regular correspondence with overseas suppliers, shipping lines, and agents.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents to ensure smooth clearance and timely delivery.
- File IGM within required timelines to avoid delays or penalties.
- Ensure containers are delivered to customer or warehouse destinations on time.
- Process and release payments to overseas vendors as per agreed terms.
- Prepare detailed container costing sheets for containers unloaded at the warehouse.
- Maintain proper records of BLs, invoices, IGMs, clearance documents, and freight costs.
- Support internal teams with logistics updates and cost analysis.
Qualifications Required:
- Experience in import documentation and container logistics.
- Knowledge of IGM filing and customs clearance procedures.
- Prior experience coordinating with CHA and overseas vendors.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel for tracking and costing sheets.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
