Position: Director of Payroll

Compensation: $175,000 - $210,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: McLean, Virginia

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Director of Payroll to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic payroll team in a well-established organization. The role involves ensuring compliance with payroll laws, managing payroll systems, and collaborating with various departments to optimize payroll processes. The position is open due to an expansion in the team, offering a chance to make a significant impact on the company's payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Oversee full-cycle payroll processing for multi-entity, multi-state, and international workforce.
• Develop and execute payroll controls, including deductions and tax compliance.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing payroll team.
• Ensure accurate data import into Oracle HRIS.
• Administer Deltek Costpoint timekeeping.
• Transmit federal withholding and FICA to the IRS.
• Conduct payroll audits and reconciliations.
• Lead year-end processing and W-2 preparation.
• Implement payroll system enhancements and process improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 10-15 years of payroll experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud payroll and ADP SmartCompliance.
• Government contracting experience required.
• Processed payroll for 3000 - 5000 employees.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with transitioning payroll systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
• Expertise in payroll compliance and regulatory changes.
• Proven experience managing international payroll.
