Data Engineer / Data Analyst (Event Support)

We are seeking a Data Engineer / Data Analyst (Event Support) for a 6 to 12-month contract to support our live event data operations. This is a fully remote role based in India , ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, real-time data environments.

Role Overview

As a Data Engineer / Data Analyst (Event Support), you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data pipelines during active events. You will be responsible for monitoring real-time systems, resolving data issues, and collaborating with Product and Integration teams to deliver seamless event experiences.

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot live data pipelines during events (registrations, scans, sessions, CRM syncs).
• Diagnose and resolve data discrepancies, including missing leads, attribute mismatches, and sync delays.
• Perform data validations, reconciliation queries, and implement real-time fixes.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend long-term improvements.
• Work closely with Product and Integration teams during active event windows.
• Document workflows, incidents, and resolution procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Python – Strong experience in data processing, transformation, and debugging.
• AWS (Hands-on Experience)
• AWS Lambda
• Step Functions
• Event-driven architectures
• SQL (Advanced) – Ability to write complex queries, debug integrity issues, and perform reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of ETL and data pipeline concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event platforms, CRM systems, or martech integrations.
• Exposure to real-time or near real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems.
