Job Description
As a Data Engineer / Data Analyst (Event Support) for a 6 to 12-month contract to support live event data operations, your role will involve ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data pipelines during active events. You will monitor real-time systems, resolve data issues, and collaborate with Product and Integration teams to deliver seamless event experiences.
- *Core Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and troubleshoot live data pipelines during events (registrations, scans, sessions, CRM syncs).
- Diagnose and resolve data discrepancies, including missing leads, attribute mismatches, and sync delays.
- Perform data validations, reconciliation queries, and implement real-time fixes.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend long-term improvements.
- Work closely with Product and Integration teams during active event windows.
- Document workflows, incidents, and resolution procedures.
- *Required Skills & Qualifications:**
- Robust experience in data processing, transformation, and debugging with Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
- Proficiency in event-driven architectures.
- Advanced SQL skills for writing complex queries, debugging integrity issues, and performing reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of ETL and data pipeline concepts.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with event platforms, CRM systems, or martech integrations.
- Exposure to real-time or near real-time data processing.
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.
- Experience supporting mission-critical systems.
