Plant Data Platform Engineer – IoT / Siemens Insights Hub
Purpose:
Build, configure, and operate the sandbox and production PDP environments for data ingestion, transformation, and visualization.
Skills & Responsibilities
Platform Setup & Configuration
Deploy and configure Siemens Insights Hub; configure tenants, network zones, and access; integrate identity providers.
Data Ingestion & Integration
Conversant with MQTT/OPC UA; create asset hierarchies; validate device-to-platform data flow.
Testing & Validation
Execute end-to-end tests; verify data integrity and latency; implement data quality checks and alerts.
API & Visualization Enablement
Expose data through APIs for external consumption; build dashboards and trend views.
Qualifications
5–8 years of IIoT platform experience; hands-on with Siemens Insights Hub; knowledge of OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs; scripting in Python/Node-RED preferred.
