We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – HR Business Partner to support our Bhopal operations by managing end-to-end HR activities, partnering with business leaders, and driving employee engagement, compliance, and retention initiatives.
Job Summary The Assistant Manager – HR Business Partner will act as a strategic HR partner for the assigned vertical/process. This role will manage HR operations, employee relations, engagement programs, performance management, and statutory compliance while ensuring alignment between business objectives and HR strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Query Management
- Address and resolve employee queries and concerns efficiently for the assigned vertical/process.
- Track, monitor, and report query resolution Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Act as the first point of contact for employee grievance handling and conflict resolution.
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure strict adherence to labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Implement and monitor the Discipline Policy, Code of Conduct, Zero Tolerance Policy, Security Policy, United Privacy Policy, and Learning Agreement.
- Support audits and ensure compliance documentation is up to date.
Attrition & Retention Management
- Drive initiatives to maintain an attrition rate of 5% or below.
- Analyze attrition trends and implement proactive retention strategies.
- Partner with business leaders to address root causes of employee turnover.
Employee Engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute employee engagement initiatives.
- Facilitate engagement meetings, prepare minutes of meetings, track action items, and communicate closures.
- Support employee connect programs and morale-building activities.
Performance Management
- Ensure timely sign-off of KRAs for new joiners and employees undergoing role changes.
- Coordinate and monitor the completion of half-yearly and annual performance appraisals.
- Support managers in performance discussions and improvement plans.
Training & Development
- Track and monitor adherence to training plans for assigned processes.
- Coordinate with the Learning & Development team to ensure timely completion of planned trainings.
Exit Management & Analytics
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze exit feedback and survey data.
- Prepare monthly exit trend reports highlighting key observations and actionable insights.
- Work with leadership teams to implement corrective action plans.
Employer Branding & HR Intelligence
- Support employer branding initiatives internally and externally.
- Maintain updated intelligence on HR best practices, employee engagement trends, and labor relations benchmarks.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Preferred specialization: Psychology, Industrial Relations, or Human Resource Management.
Experience
- Prior experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
- Strong exposure to Labor Relations and Employee Engagement.
- Experience in a BPO/Call Center environment is highly preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Working knowledge of labor laws and HR policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, tasks, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to facilitate engagement action planning and follow-through.
Additional Information
- The role requires working onsite in Bhopal.
- Flexibility to work in shifts as per business requirements is mandatory.
