Digital Copywriter

Overview

A leading Canadian banking client is seeking a Senior Copywriter to create compelling, client-focused digital communications across email, CRM, mobile, and online banking channels. This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension and permanent conversion. You'll work within agile marketing squads alongside designers, strategists, and business stakeholders to deliver personalized client experiences that support acquisition, engagement, retention, and education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop clear, engaging copy for email, CRM, mobile, and online banking communications.
• Translate marketing briefs into client-centric messaging aligned with campaign objectives.
• Create subject lines, headlines, body copy, calls-to-action, and educational content.
• Partner closely with designers to deliver cohesive creative solutions.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, legal, regulatory, and accessibility standards.
• Adapt messaging across multiple digital channels while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, legal, compliance, and execution teams.
• Contribute to agile squad delivery and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Must-Have Requirements

• 5+ years of professional copywriting experience.
• Strong experience creating 1:1 client communications, CRM, or lifecycle marketing content.
• Portfolio showcasing digital content such as email campaigns, mobile, or web communications.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on plain language.
• Experience collaborating with designers, marketers, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of brand governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with Canadian accessibility and inclusive writing standards.

• Agency experience.

• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
• Experience working in integrated creative teams.
