The Director of High Purity (Semiconductor) Operations is a senior operations leader responsible for end‑to‑end performance of Mott’s high purity and ultra‑high purity manufacturing operations serving the semiconductor industry. This role owns operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and scalability for mission‑critical products including high purity filters, point‑of‑use gas components, diffusers, flow restrictors, and custom‑engineered solutions used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing environments.
The Director will partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to scale production, enable innovation, and meet increasingly stringent purity, reliability, and compliance requirements of leading semiconductor OEMs and fabs. This position plays a critical role in supporting Mott’s strategic growth in microelectronics while maintaining industry‑leading quality and operational rigor.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Strategy
• Lead all semiconductor high purity manufacturing operations, including production, planning, maintenance, and operational support functions.
• Translate business growth objectives into scalable operational strategies.
• Drive best‑in‑class performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Establish short‑ and long‑term capacity planning to support customer demand.
High Purity & Semiconductor Manufacturing Excellence
• Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet ultra‑high purity requirements.
• Maintain rigorous contamination control and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee production of high purity filters, gas diffusers, flow restrictors, and IGS‑compatible components.
• Partner with Engineering to industrialize new products and custom solutions.
Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
• Own compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or delivery issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield and reduce variability.
• Ensure audit readiness and customer confidence.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Operations
• Champion lean manufacturing and data‑driven decision making.
• Improve throughput, yield, and cycle time while maintaining uncompromising quality.
• Support automation and advanced manufacturing where appropriate.
People Leadership & Culture
• Build, develop, and lead high‑performing operations teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
• Develop future leaders and succession plans.
Cross‑Functional & Customer Engagement
• Partner with Commercial and Engineering teams on customer and scale‑up requirements.
• Serve as a senior operational interface for key semiconductor customers.
• Support innovation, prototyping, and new product introduction initiatives.
• Partner closely with internal operations teams responsible for critical sub‑components, ensuring alignment.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales Teams to develop robust SIOP process.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience.
• Strong experience in semiconductor components or gas delivery systems.
• Proven ability to scale operations while maintaining quality and delivery.
Preferred
• Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s).
• Continuous Improvement and Lean Qualifications
• ISO Class 5 Cleanroom Experience

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $158,600.00 - $237,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
