In-House Counsel

**Job Description**

You will be joining ICCS DigX Ltd as an In-House Legal Counsel, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. As the sole in-house legal resource, you will have end-to-end legal responsibility for the company. Your role will involve managing various legal aspects such as contract management, legal compliance, recovery, litigation, arbitration, labour and employment law, IP and digital products, and general legal advisory.

• *Key Responsibilities**
• **Contract Management**
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts
• Maintain a contract repository with key date alerts
• Standardize contract templates and build a library of approved clauses
• Advise business teams on contract risks and negotiation strategy
• **Legal Compliance**
• Ensure company-wide compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on compliance implications
• Manage corporate governance and internal compliance policies
• **Recovery, Litigation & Arbitration**
• Manage recovery cases and legal notices for debt collection matters
• Handle arbitration proceedings and liaise with external counsel for litigation matters
• Maintain a litigation and arbitration tracker
• **Labour & Employment Law**
• Advise on employment law matters and manage labour cases
• Ensure compliance with labour statutes and regulations
• **IP & Digital Products**
• Provide legal support for IP-based digital products
• Review and negotiate technology agreements and ensure data privacy compliance
• **General Legal Advisory**
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership
• Manage external law firm relationships and support strategic transactions
• *Qualifications & Experience**
• LLB or LLM from a recognized Indian law school
• 45 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal practice
• Demonstrable experience in contract drafting, corporate compliance, and employment law
• Hands-on experience in arbitration proceedings and debt recovery matters
• Working knowledge of data privacy laws and IT regulations
