Job Description
This position resides in Markham, ON and is a 8 month work term commencing in January 2026 and/or September 2026. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work-term.
As a UX Designer, you will be learning and applying skills for designing, & developing web & graphical user interfaces and creating their media, with the aim of increasing users and engagement across several platforms.
You will work with various graphic design and web development tools and technologies. You will create mockups, layouts, icons, tiles, etc. for websites, applications, and social media campaigns.
Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Graphics design experience;
- Excellent communication and creative skills;
- Prototyping with Figma.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles;
- Passion for user experience and research;
- Must be eligible to work 8 months starting in January and/or September.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript;
- Understanding of color theory and typography;
- Knowledge of best practices for accessible design;
- Registered in a formal co-op/internship program.
