i-Bead Inc. is looking for a dependable Weekend Retail Sales Associate to join our team as soon as possible. This is a permanent, in-person position located in Wahnapitae.

This role includes a mix of customer service, cashier work, packaging/labelling products, stocking shelves, and helping with online orders. We are looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable with both customer-facing retail work and repetitive detail-oriented tasks.

Schedule and Availability

This position requires:

• Every Saturday: 9:45 AM to 6:15 PM
• Every Sunday: 10:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Must be available to work every weekend

Reliable transportation is required. Our store is located in Wahnapitae, and public transit is not available in this area.

Consistent, on-time attendance is essential. We are a small team and rely on each person to be present, prepared, and ready to work all scheduled shifts.

Main Purpose of the Role

As a Weekend Retail Sales Associate, your role is to provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers while also helping with product packaging, labelling, stocking, store organization, and online order support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service – In Store

• Greet customers and make them feel welcome
• Offer assistance, answer questions, and help customers choose products that suit their needs
• Provide attentive, personalized service on the sales floor
• Process sales transactions using the point-of-sale system
• Bag merchandise accurately and professionally

Store Operations

• Learn and follow opening and closing procedures
• Unpack shipments and verify packing slips and invoices
• Package, price, and neatly display merchandise
• Box and label extra stock
• Take inventory counts and restock shelves and displays as needed
• Maintain clean, organized aisles, displays, and work areas

Online Orders and Administrative Tasks

After training, you will also:

• Pick, pack, and ship online orders accurately and on time
• Communicate with customers by email
• Make occasional customer phone calls
• Process payments, prepare shipping labels, and complete end-of-day procedures

Qualifications

• Must speak, read, and write English
• Must have basic math skills
• Ability to speak and write French is a strong asset
• Comfortable using computers, i-Pads and learning new programs
• Previous cashier and/or retail sales experience is preferred
• Must be available for the full schedule listed above
• Reliable and punctual, with consistent attendance
• Eager to learn, hardworking, and attentive to detail
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations with customers
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks such as packaging and labelling products
• Able to provide excellent customer service and work well as part of a team
• Able to handle customer concerns calmly and professionally
• Comfortable standing and walking for most of the shift in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

• Work is primarily indoors
• Position may require prolonged standing, walking, and sitting
• Use of standard household cleaning products such as all-purpose cleaner and glass cleaner
• During winter, occasional brief outdoor work may be required to clear snow from the deck, handicap ramp, or front entrance stairs

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand, sit, bend, stretch, walk, squat, and kneel
• Able to lift up to 50lb
• Able to read labels, invoices, and inventory sheets
• Able to make quick decisions and solve basic day-to-day problems

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
