Company: Hyper Stealth Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (HSTPL)
Location: Delhi NCR
Experience: 2–6 years (Post-PhD / Industrial R&D exposure preferred)
Role Summary
We are looking for a PhD-level Materials Scientist with strong expertise in advanced functional materials, experimental characterization, and applied research translation to develop next-generation stealth, camouflage, EMI shielding and RADAR Absorption.
Key Responsibilities
1. Functional Material Design
- Develop advanced materials for:
- Radar Absorbing Materials (RAM) & stealth composites
- Flexible RADAR Absorbers.
- Novel coating technologies for stealth
- Engineer materials with controlled:
- Emissivity, reflectivity, dielectric constant, thermal conductivity
2. Experimental Research & Lab Work
- Lead material synthesis & formulation development
- Conduct advanced characterization:
- SEM, XRD, FTIR, Raman, DSC, TGA
- Perform:
- Microstructural analysis
- Coating evaluation & performance testing
3. Advanced Testing & Validation
- Test materials under:
- Harsh environmental conditions (UV, heat, humidity, dust)
- Conduct:
- Infrared thermography
- Signature measurement (thermal / EM behaviour)
4. Simulation & Multiphysics Collaboration
- Work with simulation teams on:
- Thermal modelling
- Electromagnetic (RCS) analysis
- Optimize material performance using:
- Data-driven modelling / computational tools
5. Product Development & Scale-Up
- Translate lab materials into:
- Coatings, fabrics, paints.
- Support:
- Pilot production & manufacturability
6. Research, Innovation & IP
- Publish technical findings (internal / external where allowed)
- File patents for defense applications
- Track global developments in:
- Metamaterials, smart coatings, stealth technologies
Required QualificationsEducation
- PhD in:
- Materials Science / Materials Engineering
- Applied Physics / Chemical Engineering
(with Graduation and Masters in -Polymer science, material science , synthesis, chemistry, surface coatings)
Core Expertise (Must-Have)
- Strong background in at least one:
- Polymers / composites / ceramics / nanomaterials
- Hands-on experience in:
- Experimental design & lab research
- Material characterization expertise
Preferred
- Electromagnetic materials / RCS knowledge
- Defense / aerospace materials exposure
- Functional coatings / smart materials
Tools & Technologies
- Characterization: SEM, XRD, FTIR, DSC, TGA
- Simulation: COMSOL / ANSYS / CST (good to have)
- Data: MATLAB / Python
