Job Description

As a Product Regulatory Specialist at Huntsman Corporation, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and certification of products in various markets worldwide, with a focus on EAME. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring, interpreting, and conducting impact assessments of existing and emerging regulations in global markets, particularly in the EAME region.
  • Keeping internal stakeholders informed about developments in chemical regulations in the EAME region.
  • Advising Huntsman businesses on product compliance with relevant legislation and certifications conforming to applicable standards.
  • Communicating business implications and recommended actions to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Developing and implementing processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Supporting business initiatives for improving regulatory compliance and identifying opportunities for digitalization and process improvement.
  • Advising the Product Safety & Regulatory teams on resolving specific customer queries.

Qualifications we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, (Life) Science, or a relevant degree in Technical, Science, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a product stewardship or regulatory affairs role in the chemical industry.
  • Excellent working knowledge of IT tools such as MS Excel, power query, and databases.
  • Sound understanding of chemistry.
  • Familiarity with REACH, CLP, chemical control legislations, and relevant product applications & markets will be advantageous.
  • Awareness and understanding of chemical processes and products is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with additional European languages like German or French being beneficial.
  • Comfortable working across different cultures and time zones.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Adaptability to changes and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, customer focus, and ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
