Job description
Position Purpose:
The Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company's assets by preventing financial losses resulting from theft and fraud. In this exciting position, you will support safety and environmental compliance within your assigned store or stores. Your expertise will be key in utilizing various tools to minimize losses, including:
- Identifying incidents of theft and fraud
- Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports
- Monitoring and enhancing the store’s physical security
- Auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems
- Promoting a culture of shrink elimination across the team
Additional responsibilities include:
- Preparing comprehensive case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries
- Preserving evidence related to security incidents
- Collaborating with law enforcement and participating in legal proceedings as necessary
- Reporting any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
- Fulfilling job duties in a manner that prioritizes safety for yourself and others
