Job Description
As an eMobility R&D System Engineer at Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC), your role involves contributing to R&D projects from the initial concept stage to final product rollout. You will be responsible for the overall electrical system, including the selection of appropriate ratings of equipment, on-board battery energy and voltage levels, designing the charging system, and developing protection concepts for low and high power chargers. Additionally, you will conduct system simulations for grid code compliance, system design, write technical documentation, conduct lab testing, and support customer project activities.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Contribute to R&D projects from concept stage to product rollout
- Select appropriate ratings of equipment and battery energy levels
- Design charging system and develop protection concepts for low and high power chargers
- Conduct system simulations for grid code compliance
- Write technical documentation and test procedures
- Conduct lab testing and support customer project activities
- *Qualifications Required:**
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Electronics and Control
- Industrial experience with low voltage power converters is an advantage
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or PSCAD
- Experience with low and medium voltage network distribution is advantageous
- Experience with DC network & Energy Storage Systems is advantageous
- Team spirit with the capacity to work independently and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English language
