Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data & Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python (Django), Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, and Apache Camel to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services. You will play a key role in integrating distributed systems, optimizing data workflows, and delivering high-performance, reliable solutions in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django
- Build scalable data processing pipelines using Apache Spark
- Develop and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow
- Implement integration patterns and routing using Apache Camel
- Architect and manage end-to-end data flows across multiple systems
- Optimize performance for large-scale data processing and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data, DevOps, product, frontend)
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
- Work with cloud platforms and distributed environments
- Document solutions, architecture, and processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django framework
